Established in 2003 as the exclusive UK/European importer and distributor of a range of New Zealand designed and manufactured side and centre-post parasols, SHADEmakers UK has built its reputation providing the highest quality parasols and umbrellas and outstanding customer service – both before, during and after sales.
From sun-drenched Dubai and Barbados to the more temperate climes of London and Dublin, its stylish yet highly functional parasols can be found adorning hotels, museums, golf courses, restaurants, gastro pubs, super yachts, Formula One events, schools, trade events, and the homes of private clients.
The company founder and managing director, Mike Kirkby-Jones, is a qualified builder with an MBA (Sydney, Australia). With his commercial design and construction background, within a few years Mike was designing and constructing his own range of quality cantilever and centre post parasols and umbrellas. ShadeArt was established as the design and manufacturing vehicle while SHADEmakers UK and a select few resellers continue to be distributors.
We are truly proud of the range of side and centre post parasols and bespoke shade solutions we offer our customers. We believe SHADEmakers UK have the best quality parasol range on offer in the UK today. With many designed and made by our manufacturing arm, ShadeArt in their purpose-built factory in Welwyn Garden City.
At SHADEmakers UK, we take considerable pride in our sales and after care service. We strive to provide clients with ongoing service long after their purchase. We are still supplying clients with spares and tailoring canopies for parasols we sold 19 years ago. Our UK team are capable of servicing, repairing, and refurbishing anything we sell. Try us.
